The oak is a large, mature specimen approximately 20 metres in height, with an overall crown spread of approximately 8 metres on the southern aspect. Proposed Works: Reduce the overall height of the tree by approximately 3 metres. Reduce the southern crown spread by approximately 2.5 metres. Reasons for Proposed Works: The existing canopy significantly shades the southern elevation of the house and adjoining garden for much of the day. A moderate and carefully balanced crown reduction will improve natural light levels to the property and garden area, while retaining the tree???s overall form, character, and amenity value.
