Our Story
PlanningChecker was born in 2025 out of frustration. A planning application was submitted on our street, but trying to find it on the council’s planning portal was unnecessarily difficult. Getting local residents to comment was even worse — most people had no idea the application even existed.
That experience exposed a serious flaw in how planning information is shared. So, we built a tool that made it easier to track and view planning applications in one place — starting with our local area.
Right now, we're focused on refining the platform and covering more councils. Our aim is to eventually expand PlanningChecker to support communities across the UK, making planning data truly accessible for everyone.
