Retrospective planning permission for a single storey rear conservatory.

Oak tree in back garden of 15, Chapel Drive, B47 6JP. Highlighted in green on plan. Crown lifting, thinning and reduction - i.e. raise level of branches, thin out significantly, cut back branches (one is now over the roof and could cause damage to roof in storm). We would like the tree checked for safety as we have concerns that the tree is now leaning dangerously towards a neighbouring property and damaging our boundary fence.

The property is made up of 3 land registry titles, however following discussions with Holly Johnston in your Redditch office we've been informed that it is only the house and main garden that fall in to the conservation area. This allows us to highlight the few trees we'd like to cut quite easily; 1) A large sycamore tree close to property - Pollarding 2) A large silver birch to back right hand corner of property - Sympathetic pollarding and height reduction 3) 4 leylandii, which form part of the perimeter hedge along the left - A reduction in overall height to allow more natural light into garden 4) A fir tree on drive - To reduce the height a little We intend the work to be carried out by a qualified tree surgeon.

T1 Sycamore - Located near South Boundary, behind fence, lean and growing towards pub. - Crown reduce by 3-4m, particularly lateral branches extending over garden area, crown lift to at least 4m to allow room for and increase light to allow garden to be used for growing produce. T2 Sycamore - Located 10m E of T1, multi-stem tree - Crown reduce by 3-4m, crown lift to at least 4m to allow room for and increase light to garden. T3 Holly - Small suppressed tree near T2, Largely dead - Fell T4 Ash - Located to side of G2, Ivy covered with evidence of Ash Dieback (Class 2) - Crown reduce by 3-4m, sever Ivy T5 Sycamore - Off-Site tree within grounds of house to the rear - low growth overhanging fence - Prune lower growth back to fence-line

Single Storey rear extension 6m from the original rear elevation and no greater than 4m tall

Estimated 80-100 year old oak tree (TPO16/2006) located at rear of the above property. The work requested is to reduce the tree's canopy back to levels of previous reduction carried out in early 2018 under a previous TPO application approved by the Council. The branches are once again extending up to the gutters of the house. They overhang and touch the roof, and the branches overhang all adjacent gardens. There is excessive shading (almost 100%) in the garden of the property and over-shading in adjacent properties. The work requested is as recommended by the tree surgeons previously used - ie to reduce the tree by approx. 4-5 metres back to the point of the last reduction. See diagram.
