The oak is a large, mature specimen approximately 20 metres in height, with an overall crown spread of approximately 8 metres on the southern aspect. Proposed Works: Reduce the overall height of the tree by approximately 3 metres. Reduce the southern crown spread by approximately 2.5 metres. Reasons for Proposed Works: The existing canopy significantly shades the southern elevation of the house and adjoining garden for much of the day. A moderate and carefully balanced crown reduction will improve natural light levels to the property and garden area, while retaining the tree???s overall form, character, and amenity value.

T1 Oak, minimum of 30% 3/3.5mtr reduction all over. tree has old wound and cavity at the base. we would appreciate your thoughts as to wether reduction would be enough to prolong trees life.
