Oak tree in back garden is getting too big and we want to get a tree surgeon in to drastically reduce its height and canopy

1. Hawthorn sapling self seeded within front perimeter hedge next to pavement. When in leaf, this small tree obscures driver visibility of electronic speed camera/speed warning sign installed by Highways dept in 2024 to attempt to curtail excess speeding following a number of road collisions. 2. Common Holly, poor specimen with few leaf and bifurcated trunk, one arm leaning towards the highway - concern that this arm may fall onto pavement /road. Both of these trees obscure/interfere with spread of a much older Yew within the garden boundary. Permission is requested to lower the hawthorn to boundary hedge height and the holly to ground level.

Thermal Improvements: Installation of internal wall insulation using breathable materials to enhance energy performance without affecting the external fa??ade or trapping moisture within the historic fabric. Heating System Upgrade: Replacement of the existing LPG boiler with a modern air-source heat pump, retaining the current wet heating system to minimise disruption to internal finishes - Only deemed economical if the fabric upgrades reduce the overall heat load. Electrical Rewiring: Full rewire of the property to meet current safety standards, with careful routing to avoid damage to historic fabric and use of surface-mounted conduits only where necessary (not to chase out original brick walls) General Refurbishment: Redecoration using suitable materials and techniques, retaining as much or the original features possible as well as adding missing features that would likely be present in the original building - ensuring no alteration or obscuring of significant historic features. A mature Oak tree (Quercus species) next to 33 Foxhope Close, dead wood removal/crown clean and to reduce a single limb facing the highway. This limb has a large channel of decay on the top of it so a reduction of 2.5M is desired to remove some weight and sail mass to minamise the risk of failure.
