This application is for multiple trees that are situated on the School site. This work has been identified from a recent tree inspection in accordance with Birmingham City Councils program tree survey inspections. This survey is carried out to highlight dangerous trees that could pose a risk to the health and safety of people that may use this site. Other remedial work is also often highlighted to minimize some of the minor negatives that trees an cause e.g. reducing a canopy away from buildings and crown lifting. T11 Oak: The level of off-balance crown weight on the heavily leaning main stem. Work recommendation is to fell to ground level due to the excessive lean. T10 Oak: Excessive deadwood in crown overhang main drive. Work recommendation is to crown clean, removing all dead wood and defective and crossing branches. T9 Oak : Crossing branches in crown, branches resting on phone wires, deadwood in crown over driveway. Work recommendation is to crown clean, removing all dead wood and defective and crossing branches.

Oak tree on west boundary, it is proposed to reduce the overall crown by 40%, to achieve a reduction of approx 3m to the height and 2.5m to the spread each side after pruning. The partial reduction will prevent branches contacting the brickwork, roof and guttering. Additionally it will allow more light onto the site, reducing shade, the tree is leaning into the site from the boundary.
