This is a Section 211 notice for removal to a willow tree in a conservation area in Bromsgrove and Redditch. The council has six weeks to consider whether the tree warrants a full Tree Preservation Order before work can go ahead.

Trees in a conservation area with a trunk diameter over 75mm are automatically protected. A Section 211 notice gives the council six weeks to decide whether to make a Tree Preservation Order before work can proceed.

The applicant's own description is: T1 - Salix (Weeping willow) - This tree was pollarded in early 2026 but the applicant has been surprised at the amount and speed of re-growth and would now like to remove the tree completely. The application was received by Bromsgrove and Redditch on 10 August 2026.
