This TPO application proposes crown reduction to a protected tree in Bromsgrove. The council has eight weeks to decide and may negotiate a lighter specification with the owner.

Trees protected by a Tree Preservation Order cannot be pruned, reduced or felled without written consent from the council. This application is a request for that consent, usually because the tree is close to a property, showing signs of decline, or in need of routine crown management.

The applicant's own description is: Four London Plane (T1, T2, T3, T4.) Crown reduce back to previous reduction points (by approximately 3m). Thin crown by 20% to include any major dead wood. Lift crown to 5 meters above ground level.
